There is a huge similarity and connection between ADHD and creativity. As well, a significant percentage of people diagnosed with ADHD don't see themselves as having disorder or deficit. On contrary, they see themselves as having a potential, a gift. Not to mention successful entrepreneurs, musicians, scientists. Even so, traits they have and that are listed in ADHD DSM IV (inattention, hyperactivity, impulsivity) help them become more creative, curious, passionate and out of the box thinkers. At the same time, ADHD is showing and educating its environment that inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity are something bad, something that needs to be removed. Children that daydream, that are inattentive, that have problems with doing something calm are described as problematic. As an explanation, ADHD syndrome is given and attached to them.

How much of it is disorder or deficit and how much of it is giftedness and above average creativity, is a question that not only confuses educators and parents, but also some professionals.
